    I've been to several Safeway stores in this area and this one(Roxbury)was the most unfriendly and irritated atmosphere I have ever been in.

    I was at the Safeway today and had the most wonderful experience from Sari b at the deli She was absolutely outgoing and wonderful to deal with highly recommend the deli counter at Safeway on Roxbury. B is the best.

    Went in today to look for the basics to make a loved one homemade beef stew that had recently come down with a very bad case of the flu which required a ER visit. I was in the meat department and I asked a woman which was pulling beef off if a cart for bone in shank. She yelled out to an older guy that was stocking the island type freezer. So I went his way. He said no and “all his meat comes on with no bone”. There was a total of 5 employees all “working” the meat department and not one single one was interested in helping me find what I needed. They made me feel in the way and were not friendly. I took home 6 beef ribs and the rest of the items I needed. I spent $150 to make the stew for enough for 6 and had enough leftovers for another round. I could have easily jumped in my car and driven to my go to’s for meat and produce and easily come in far under $100. This was a late in the day me finding out and trying to help my friends and family type of “emergency”situation. So I thought I’ll just grab it all here because its close etc. To boot the ribs had so much fat after I got them home and they were more than $60 just for the meat. This is definitely an avoid when possible outfit. 👎

    Was a great store until they said I couldn’t pick up my order due to payment method WHICH WAS AN ISSUE ON THEIR END. The only solution they had was to reorder and wait for a refund within 7-10 business days. They offered no other solutions for this issue which is unfortunate for a company this big. Not everyone has hundreds of dollars to spare their mistake. They have loss prevention at these stores but seems like the customers are the one losing. SMH.

    Pharmacy is incompetent at their basic job: filling prescriptions. I have a monthly prescription, and twice now I have gone multiple days without my meds because Safeway cannot refill it in time. 9 days ago the system texted me for the refill, 9 days I wait. The past 2 days I have tried calling the pharmacy, and can't reach anyone. I finally got the store's Customer Service on the line, and they admitted that the Pharmacy never answers the phone anymore, and there is nothing they or I can do about it.
