Every time I go inside, the security guard is always at the Pokemon machine. Once a product is available, he calls the manager of the Safeway who then gives him her credit card to purchase items. When they see customers attempting to check the Pokemon machine they all laugh and taunt the customers saying “nothing today?” This happens all day everyday.

How surprising the store with a manager that allows security guards to harass customers or ignore obvious physical threats from one customer to another customer won't accept a legit $50 bill with just a corner ripped. I understand it's up the discretion of the manager. That's why I'm not surprised.

Everyone is treated like a criminal the minute you walk into the store.... I bought some stuff. Walked out the store, and this heavy set dude come from behind and demanded that they see a reciept. Then he grabbed my bag and start digging his hand into it. He saw the reciept, crumpled it and tell me to go. THERE IS SOMETHING TERRIBLY WRONG WITH YOUR SUPETMARKETS WHEN YOU START TREATING EVERYONE IN YOUR SUPERMARKET LIKE CRIMINALS. ITS NO WONDER EVERYONE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD THAT I TALK TO DESPISES SAFEWAY OTHELLO AND AVOIDS GOING THERE. .... A family member went to your store and a security guy told her that she isnt allowed to bring her big bag inside and that she is told to leave it by the grocery cart. She hesitated, but she did what she was told. As soon as she is about to leave, her big purse is gone !!!! She asked the security guy about her things, and he doesnt know!! SHE IS FREAKING OUT. THATS HER BELONGING AND CARRYON FOR HER FLIGHT THAT AFTERNOON !!! HER THINGS ARE STOLEN IN YOUR STORE BECAUSE YOUR SECURITY GUARD TOLD HER TO LEAVE HER THINGS. .... YOUR STAFFS ARE DISPICTABLE !!!! ....

I placed a pick-up order for today and as I was leaving for the store to go pick it up it was canceled with no explanation. I really needed the items and so I drove to the store anyway and the store did not have at least three of the items even though the computer showed them in stock and I had a hard time finding anyone that could help me. I ended up waiting in line at the register and the cashier attempted to help me but also could not find the items. Then I went to the deli to get the turkey that was on sale and the deli stops slicing meat at 4:00 p.m. and it was 5:00 p.m. which is not acceptable if I'm trying to shop while the store is open. The deli woman was really helpful but she could only refer me to the pre-cut deli packages of turkey in the grab-and-go case. However, I checked the date and it was packaged 4 days ago. That is not fresh to slice meat 4 days ago and then sell it in the to-go case. The meat should have been sliced the same day! I couldn't believe it! So all in all I left the store with hardly anything I needed from my list. In the parking lot at the security guard was helpful and offered to take my cart back for me. Seems like the staff are really trying and want to help customers but if the store can't keep enough staff to keep the Deli open, keep fresh meat in the to-go case, honor the pickup orders we place online, or keep the shelves stocked with items then no wonder so many grocery stores are closing because people are using Amazon delivery. I also contacted the store directly in the app to share this experience.
