In dire need of the bathroom, but wouldn't let me in since there was 30 minutes before the bathroom became "open to the public." I made a purchase so that I was officially a customer, didn't matter.

It's small and has a little bit of everything. Of course, locked items but they are fast and helpful to find what you need.

There is a lack of store leadership, here- Self Checkout is pushed, yet you cannot employ someone who actually knows how to run it. Most employees working self checkout are also doing other tasks- which leads to theft. You can tell by how the employees are clearly burnt-out. There is a strong community prescence here, but I tend to see a lot of toxic masculinity. (Most of the ave is either problematic or abusive men who tend to approach women, and girls. Safeway needs to focus on customer service, and taking good care of thier employees. Without them, this store wouldn't survive.

Well stocked and consistent quality of grocery. You can find almost anything you need to make weekly purchase. The price is affordable for student; do use safeway membership and register your number for it, it would make a huge different. The only downside is the enviroment before entering the store. Glass shards, litters, and seasonal urine smell. Prep some paper dollar if you intend to be generous and spend outside of your student budget. Get ready to be witness ufc outbreak once in every few months [after 11pm]. Sceurity exist, yes. Are they paid to maintain a "safe" way? I'm not sure. Good mascot though. Be careful, and stay safe (for the student).
