The matcha taiyaki ran me 9 dollars and there was almost no cream inside. I just wanted the cream and there wasn't so I was saddened. But beyond the lackluster cream content, the flavor was also overall underwhelming. The breading was also dry. If I wanted to spend nine dollars to be disappointed I would just buy a knife and kill myself

Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. BeanFish serves taiyaki, which are these fish-shaped waffles stuffed with savory or sweet fillings. They're pretty small so you can get at least 3 or 4 of them before anyone will start to judge you. My favorites are the mmmBacon (bacon, egg, and cheese), Jiro (read bean paste), and OOH-BAE (ube cream). They're best when they're fresh and hot, but also plenty tasty at room temperature or reheated in a toaster oven. I also tried the spam fries out of curiosity, but I'd recommend skipping—they just aren't anything special.
