I had a deeply disappointing experience at Alder & Ash. The food was incredibly salty, overpriced, and tasted as if it had come straight out of a bag. The quality was shockingly poor for the cost.
Service was equally frustrating. Our server brought only one drink the entire night, and despite repeatedly asking for another lemonade, it never arrived. We were given a single glass of water, and the wine we ordered never made it to the table at all. The staff appeared inattentive and disengaged throughout the meal.
While the decor was attractive, the atmosphere was extremely loud and made it difficult to conduct the business meeting we were there for.
Overall, between the poor food quality, lackluster service, and disruptive environment, this was not a restaurant I would return to or recommend.

I was looking for a breakfast spot that was central, had good food, and excellent service—and we got all of it here. From the moment we walked into the Sheraton lobby, the concierge guided us straight to the restaurant, and the team greeted us with quick, friendly service. The food was very good, the atmosphere relaxed, and everything felt easy and welcoming.
We’d absolutely recommend it and will be back. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful breakfast!

Some great dishes and some that seemed sub par. Good: king salmon (amazing flavor!), fish&chips, afternoon tea cocktail, nono-roni (best no ABV negroni we've had). Bad Cesar salad (chain restaurants have better), up in smoke cocktail (a waste of mezcal).
Nice staff, and nice decor.
Hey MGMT - The 4% charge is stupid, just increase your prices if you need more revenue.
Price was much above the Google listed range. For dinner expect 40-60 per person.

Very disappointing experience at Alder and Ash during Seattle Restaurant Week. We stopped in before a play at the Paramount with over 2 hours before we needed to head to the show. They dropped off water quickly but then it took another 20 minutes for anyone to even talk to us. She didn't want to talk about food tho and only wanted drink orders. When she was finally able to talk about food, we had ~75 min before the show so didn't know if we could fit in the 3 courses of SRW. We asked the server and she was very rude saying she can't guarantee anything and she has not idea but she'll try to just flood our table with all the courses at once if that's what we want. She said it was very busy there (although there were open tables) and although I understand that she can't guarantee anything, I would expect a server at the restaurant to at least be able to offer guidance based on her experience. Not to mention her tone was super off putting to everyone at the table.
We did end up ordering SRW. The food came out quickly (2nd course before we were done w/ 1st course as she put in). None of the food at our table of 4 with different dishes for each course was particularly good. Mostly bland with minimal flavor. Additionally wine pours were tiny.
I will not be going back and I would not recommend at all!

I was extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. From the hostess to the server and overall quality of the food, the experience fell far below expectations.
This was a business meal, after driving from SEATAC in pouring rain we expected a relaxing, enjoyable and a great dining experience. Despite having a reservation, we attempted to call the restaurant multiple times beforehand with no answer, which was both inconvenient and unprofessional.
The Caesar salad arrived in a very heated dish, leaving the lettuce wilted, and the dressing was nothing like a traditional Caesar. It was a gross nakedness vinaigrette type version nothing about this salad made it a Cesar. If a high price point restaurant can't get this perfected, then of course the rest will be a disappointment. The oysters were also concerning — one tasted spoiled to the point that I could not continue eating them.
Our server was so inattentive throughout the meal, with no water or iced tea refills offered, though our alcoholic beverages arrived promptly. The King Salmon portion was very small, served atop bland clams and cool fingerling potatoes. My steak was paired with an unappealing green sauce and unseasoned fries, despite our request to substitute whipped mashed potatoes instead. Her sarcastic comment that we were now lucky to get both tge fries and whipped was blatantly rude. Because neither of us ate one of the fries.
What stood out most was the lack of management presence — no manager or supervisor came by to check on our table at any point, which reflected a lack of care for guest satisfaction.
Additionally, parking is valet-only and quite costly, which would be acceptable if the overall dining experience matched the premium expectations. Unfortunately, it did not.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience.
