- ABAndy BerschauerApr 2, 20263.0The food was surprisingly good. I was once a Chipotle devotee, going approximately weekly with my work colleagues in California. Then they started cutting costs and the food suffered. After several underwhelming experiences I stopped going. Several years later I tried Chipotle again in Kent, and it was absolutely disgusting. I vowed never to go again. Fast forward to present day. My wife bamboozled me into going to Chipotle in Wallingford. I prepared myself for the worst. The barbacoa didn't look very appetizing, and I wasn't going to risk it given my state of mind, so I got steak; it was really good. A huge burrito which I never expected to be able to eat disappeared. The guac was class. The steak was a little gristly, but not bad. 4* for food; service was what I'd expect from a fast food joint; the restaurant itself was pretty grubby. Unwiped tables and spilled soda on the floor. Room for improvement, but on the right trajectory.
