Despite that, her attitude was so positive that I honestly didn’t mind. She was gracious, apologetic, and when I mentioned I was getting sandwiches for two kids who wanted ingredients they were out of, she immediately went into problem-solving mode. I could tell she was having a tough shift, but she kept a smile and treated me with kindness. My kids loved their sandwich “surprises”. Natalie made lemonades out of lemons.
