This store use to be good. The remodel was a step backwards. Nonsensical store layout. Difficult to find anything. Shortage of shopping carts and baskets. There’s almost no smaller carts that older shoppers prefer. What few carts or baskets that they have are usually all placed at one entrance or the other. Leaving one entrance without any baskets and carts. I have mobility issues. It’s a big deal for me to walk to the opposite entrance to grab a cart. This Safeway store is the only local store of any kind that hires security to check receipts when exiting the store. In my opinion that money would be better spent on buying more carts (small and large) and baskets and hiring employees to insure they are located at both entrances of the store. This use to be my “go to store”. Now I find myself driving past it to go elsewhere. It’s a sad decline to what had been a community stable.

Insane prices. Unless something is on sale or has a deal through the app, expect to pay a lot. There's no meaningful competition for groceries in this neighborhood so they can charge whatever they want.

We typically go here to browse and its often quite nice. The shelves were stocked nicely and neat and the workers are very kind most often.

Twice now I have stood in front of the Chinese takeout counter and been ignored. The first time, the guy behind the counter chatted with another guy for five minutes before I gave up and walked away. Today, I stood at the same counter while a woman in the kitchen filled plastic snack bins, looking at me but ignoring me twice; one guy filled takeaway sushi containers, ignored me twice; and another guy was cutting meat slices, ignored me three times. Are they even making any money at the deli counter??? Also, they force us to use self checkout by barely hiring any clerks, causing long lines at the registers, but people steal things using self checkout so now they make you show your receipt to a guy they pay to just stand there?! Maybe hire back more checkers and stop making your customers work for you for free?

Dirty and understaffed. They rather pay for receipt checkers then damn cashiers. Half the store was blocked off during business hours so you couldn’t even shop.
