She had someone before me that was a lot and I understand but the whole time constant sighing and questioning in a rude way and felt like she was taking her frustration with the previous person out on us. The customer service just wasn’t there. I asked for a 4 dollar extra to make it a meal which it said on the sign but she said that I wanted a express meal with a attitude but maybe she didn’t realize we can make it a meal for 4 dollars I don’t know. I won’t give one star because I’ve been here before and it wasnt as bad as a one star everyone else we have dealt with has been nice.

I worked as a meat cutter for over 16 years, so I understand firsthand how demanding grocery retail can be. The pace is relentless. The expectations are high. The public interaction never stops. It takes a special kind of person to consistently show up with professionalism and a positive attitude in that environment and Steve does exactly that. What makes him exceptional isn’t just that he’s friendly. It’s that his kindness is genuine. He has a natural feel for interacting with customers, the kind you can’t train. He’s attentive without being rushed, patient without being slow, and he treats every person at the counter with respect. Even when the store is busy, his demeanor never changes. As someone who’s been on the other side of that counter, I don’t hand out compliments lightly. Steve represents everything you hope for in a front line employee. He elevates the entire shopping experience and reflects extremely well on this store. Safeway is fortunate to have him. Employees like Steve aren’t common and they absolutely make a difference.
