When I arrived at the store, they informed me that I still owed $39 and change for my order. At the time, I assumed this meant that my PayPal transaction didn't go thru for some reason (and was assured that this was the case by the employee at the store). Now here we are, 2 days out from this purchase, and my $40 PayPal transaction has cleared and the $39 and change charged to my US Bank account has caused me to overdraft, since it is hooked to PayPal as a back up payment method. Thereby causing me to not account for the extra $40 that I was assured hadn't gone thru, which is why I was asked to pay in store... PayPal needs 5 days to research the transactions in order to make any kind of refund and in the meantime, my wife and I are overdraft on our bank account with no real recourse as far as US Bank is concerned. This is an EXTREMELY aggravating situation and should not have ever come to pass in the first place.
