Safeway really needs to do something about their tiny aisles and displays blocking half of them as if they aren't tight enough. It's so hard to find anything with people and products in the way. I avoid Safeways for this very reason but came in because it was closer than another store and trsffic was bad but never again. It's horrible for the average person but especially for neurodivergents.

An employee screamed in my face about her diseases and how she busts her but everyday so that I can my groceries at Cooper Point Safeway. I was trying to reach an item and she and her cart were blocking the alise, she ignored my request and when I tryed to move her stocking cart she freaked out. When I complained to the manager the employee had already complained about me. Wow 10 years of shopping there and this is how they treat customers. Well, no more lots of groceries at Haagens, Thriftway, Grocery Outlet, Food Co-Op and 2 other Safeways where they are actually nice. Not ot mention Costco, Wynco, Fred Meyers. The customer is always wrong at Harrison street Safeway.

I’ve been to maybe a dozen branches of Safeway in my life, and, among them, I think I can count on one hand the number of friendly staff members I’ve dealt with there. The Centralia branch is the worst; I can expect plenty of surliness when I go there. I’ve had better luck in Chehalis—most of the staff there is fairly friendly—but one of the managers in Chehalis is more horrendous than almost anyone I’ve dealt with in any retail establishment in my 58 years of life—not just at Safeway, and not just in supermarkets, but in ANY stores of any kind. The Centralia branch managers are awful but bearable; however, Centralia has fewer friendly staff members than does Chehalis. In the The Better World Shopping Guide, 6th Edition, by Ellis Jones, Safeway was rated a “D,” indicating that their practices had significantly negative consequences for humans and the environment—but, since then, they’ve been raised to a “C-,” meaning that they now have mixed responsibility records. “C-“ is about what I would rate them, and I would give them 2 1/2 stars if I could. I’m choosing 3 stars partly because they have good prices and partly to distinguish my feelings about Safeway from my feelings about Walmart and Fuller’s, each of which I give 1 star. If I gave Safeway 2 stars, it would be harder for me to express how utterly atrocious the other two supermarkets are. Walmart and Fuller’s are truly and absolutely abominable (Walmart for social and environmental reasons, Fuller’s for personal reasons), but Safeway is merely horrible, and I want to make sure that the difference is clear.
