Has an unhappy vibe. 1) Shelves often don’t have what you came for (need stocking) many different times a day 2) long checkout lines from 2:30ish-6:30ish weekdays and often on weekends 3) the meat department smells funky, 4) wait in line for checkout and some of the checkers (not all) are CRANKY, like you being there is a giant annoyance—maybe not a good idea to take a public-facing job if you can’t handle the public. I always try hard to treat employees with respect and friendliness, yet a couple of the younger women that work as checkers are downright cold, and seem like they just want to roll their eyes at you for saying “How are you today?” So, with all that, right in front of you, it makes me wonder how the behind the scenes things are managed… Is the perishable food kept properly? Are people washing hands who handle deli food and produce? Maybe they need more employees or a stronger management team. Giving up on this Safeway. Haggens for me now.

Worst layout of a store. Everywhere is a maze. Upon entry, you gotta weave through the florist deptartment. Displays litter the floors causing more obstacles to avoid. No matter the day of week or time of day the aisles are crowded with stockers. The aisles barely fit to carts as it is. Shelves frequently out of stock. At least the staff is friendly

The most underemployed grocery store in America. Not only is it ONLY self checkout that takes 30 to 45 minutes to shop on weekdays but you will wait also 15-20 minutes for alcohol . At most times there is 2 people working max for a grocery store that basically supplies most the island. It’s unfair to the employees and the customers.

I would like to commend Wendy for her exceptional service and professionalism. She is consistently friendly, approachable, and genuinely positive, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone she interacts with. Her upbeat energy and warm demeanor are evident not only in her interactions with me, but also with other customers, including my grandfather. She consistently goes above and beyond to make each customer feel acknowledged and valued. Employees like her make a noticeable difference in the shopping experience, and I greatly appreciate her dedication and kindness.

Madelin in the starbucks department really outdid herself the last time I went! her customer service was top notch and we had so many great laughs together while she quickly put together my drink. the drink i was handed could be compared to that of the elixir of life because from the first sip I knew that what I had in my hand was no mere drink, it was an expression of herself and her craft. words cant explain how great this worker has been and if I come back and she somehow doesn’t earn a raise. im going to take it up with corporate and many people will lose their jobs.
