For one, the employees treat you as if you somehow have wronged them and their families, right off the bat. I’m not sure why they’re so miserable but it definitely shows in their customer service.. Another issue that I’ve had at this location is that they don’t always apply the advertised discounts on things (and I’m not talking about the digital coupons). One of the main reasons that I typically enjoy buying groceries from Safeway is all of the in-store coupons that they offer, so I was extremely disappointed to get home, look at my receipt, and see all of the items that I was charged full price for even though there were signs showing sale prices. I’m not sure if the signs were old sales that the employees just never removed, but I definitely won’t be returning to this location. Super 1 is just a few minutes away, and it has better prices and friendlier employees.
