There is one elderly guy that’s great but otherwise always wait several minutes watching them feet away ignoring you and if you say something to get their attention they always act annoyed and offended by your outburst. Also baskets are kept at self check out exit so now with new annoying gate system to get a basket you have to either back track to main entrance or squeeze though the small gap and cut through Starbucks coffee. Also store is almost always out of the smaller doughnut boxes making you use massive box for a couple doughnuts.

This thing goes off if you look at it wrong, it seems to drive the staff nuts and they ignore because it is perpetually triggered. And does Safeway pass the savings from less theft onto us, the customers? It doesn’t feel like it. Go to the Food Co-op or Costco if you want to shop somewhere that doesn’t seem to hate their customers

- WLwill leowMar 11, 20261.0This is the Most horrible and disrespectful place ever my mom was just in the store to buy some coffee and the person behind the counter was absolutely disrespectful and rude that is not the kind of customer service that should be tolerated at any store the person in question did not even do what was requested of her and her behavior was completely inexcusable my mom and I will never step foot in Safeway ever again not even to use the bathroom. It was at the Starbucks counter.
