This being the first time that we chose reserve a cooked Turkey dinner instead of cooking the turkey at home as we’ve done years prior to today. Recovering from a stroke I had 2mo ago cooking has become problematic. So When we spoke with an employee at the deli counter, asking questions to get the amount of turkey right. We resevered a full meal and she asked what name will it be under, gave our name to added. Our name should have been on the list but No, the final and important step of actually placing our name on that list training session must have been glanced over. Yes, that correct should have as in should have turkey but I should have cooked one. The employee searched thru 4-5 times but no where to be found. SO unable to give us any of the cooked turkeys there we were offered fried chicken as a substitute…. Ok things happen so ok chicken it is………… now home and serving up the dinner AND THENWHAT SEEMS TO BE DAY OLD DEHYDRATED “crispy chicken”. Ask if their chicken is in the same condition and heard the no it’s fine, it’s not that bad and other trying not to hurt someone’s feelings replies. SO THIS THANKSGIVING I SINCERELY GIVE MY THANKS TO SAFEWAY FOR BEING THERE SO OUR FAMILY COULD BE TOGETHER & ENJOY THE TRASH YOU PROVIDED. 2 stars given instead of 1 because it was still “food” that could be eaten not enjoyed.
