  First off, I agree that knowing where to order is confusing because there is no sign that says “order here” but there is a sign that says “pay here”. Also, there is no screen to verify your order at either of the registers. I went in today to order the nova lox brunch special. I wanted to add extra veggies so that’s why I did it in person vs ordering online. On the app, it also said customization is limited on the app and to order at the bakery. I told the cashier I wanted the nova lox brunch special and he said ok. I added cucumbers and didn’t realize he charged me an extra $.99 for it when in the app it’s free. Instead of the special, he input the sandwich à la cart. In the app, if it was à la cart, it would’ve come with a side of cookie or chips (which weren’t given to me). When I went to pay, I paid and was then given my receipt. That’s when I noticed that the previous cashier input my order incorrectly. I tried to explain to the cashier that I wanted the brunch special and I was told I could only order that online since she didn’t have a button for it. I showed her the app and said it doesn’t say order online only. The manager walked over and I explained again what happened and she said since I already paid that that’s what my order was going to do. I still tried to explain what happened and even another customer tried to help me. After this discussion, they finally agreed to give me my correct order. When I went to eat my sandwich, it wasn’t cut (like I had requested) and I was given only a thin slice of lox. Definitely not worth the hassle for a sandwich that didn’t have enough lox.

  For 8 years I sporadically come to have a TOASTED lox bagel. This is an imposible assignment here, they assume that because the bagel is warm they do not need to follow clients request and decide not to toasted. I promise myself o won’t come back even though I try to support local business in Mercer Island.

  I came to pick up a preorder and found that we had ordered wrong. Tammy and Daniel were quick to pivot and got me out the door with 10 dozen bagels in a matter of minutes. Thank you!

  I called and the woman who answered the phone was speaking in a horrible tone to me and was very rude when i was simply trying to ask why the doors were closed at 130 when the store says its closed at 2.... Update: went in again and im sure the same lady who spoke to me on the phone the first time being rude is the same lady who was being rude again to me today! I went up to order and she didnt even give me a chance to speak before telling me that if the order isnt in the order ready section its not ready...that isnt even what i was tryin to ask,...she makes me not want to come back again...not welcoming or friendly at all. What a shame
