    So I definitely felt like I needed to leave a review for this one because something bad happened and they need to be stopped I I'm an auditor for the City of Marysville we had an issue with the Safeway serving minors I went in with an obviously fake ID with the laminate peeling and dates wrong and they continue to serve to me I went through the line three different times as well as winter customer service and spoke with the manager and they as well sold me cigarettes this place is incredibly corrupt and needs to be looked at by the liquor board

    Prices are reasonable and they always have what I need in stock. Wish they had more handicap scooters but if I go in the middle of the morning or early afternoon they usually have 1 available for me.

    It's a 50/50 for me, staff and employees are great, its the store, we just moved here from Alaska (granted prices are better here) so maybe its just me, but there's a lot of things we did very differently, one, both doors got opened we didnt have to figure out which one they decided to unlock today, we didn't close or lock our bathrooms until the store was closed and they opened as soon as the store was open, some of us are early workers, or shoppers, what if you have IBS, you dont know when you need to go and the bathrooms don't open for another 2 hours after the store is open, what if your baby needs to be changed suddenly, point is you dont know don't assume. I get if its a homeless/drug problem, but it doesnt do anything. Everytime I go in there someone is sleeping in the stall, or I find the remnants of needles and blood, all in the middle of the day, the bathrooms are also never clean, its always a mess, feces and urine all over the toilet and sometimes stall, I clean my own stall before using it every time. The gate system is, odd but not the worst thing, idk Alaska isn't calm by any means and we didn't do this much, I agree with another lady I saw saying this place makes people feel like criminals, people dont want to shop like that

    I ordered a cake for my mother-in -laws 90 th Birthday. The order was messed up from day 1.It wa supposed to be a tiered cake exactly like picturs except only 1 layers.top for cake and bottom for cup cake. The icing was to be white with pink flowers ...Est cost $30-$40 . I get a call the DAY.Im picking up the cake that if I want the tier it is $120 PLUS they mark it up another $120 so now I'm up to $240 plus cost of cake close to $300.BIg Difference..Ok i have a tier I can use no biggie. I was told the person who took the order was new and not trained yet on prices and has had 3 other wrong orders. So bakery " manager " rechecked my order i asked for a white icing with pink flowers.like the picture I originally showed in store with the only change being the color of the flowers? I got a total PINK cake . NOT WHAT I ORDERED.Needless to say I will not be ordering a cake anytime soon.from Safeway again.Sad I have shopped here for over 40 yrs. This was not the new hires fault.someone should be training him. Not to mention you can buy the Cake tiers on Amazon for under $20. So folks don't be duped in buying their cake, tiers for a hundred and twenty plus they're a hundred and twenty markup

    First I'd like to say the customer service is always great, especially at check out. They are regularly responsive, helpful, and attentive if an issues arises, and if they aren't immediately available I know it's because they're working on something else. The checkers and customer service department has always been so kind. The one time I asked a manager holding a clipboard for help they had no idea how to find a product and had to ask someone else. But the technology at Safeway is atrocious. You charge ridiculous prices, make us all feel like criminals with your gates, and yet you can't get a system that takes tap on a regular basis? Your machines break down or major parts of your payment methods don't work. And it's not just this Safeway-it's every Safeway. So instead of having to come in, I decided okay I'll do my shopping online. But guess whose website isn't working after cache's are deleted, privacy settings changed, running programs and EVERY other website working but yours. If you're going to make your clients feel like criminals and not even give them a way to pay you for your product, I don't foresee my family and I using your establishments anymore.
