As is the case with most Haggens stores this one is very clean, customer service is excellent the products are high quality and sadly there's PLENTY OF PARKING bc the prices are sky high. I used to do all of my shopping at Haggens but now I only stop in for their fresh baked bread. I hope Haggens survives but I have my doubts

We have shopped at Haggens for 35 years, 90% of the time they have met or exceeded our expectations. They are usually higher priced and a better selection of organic produce & meats and quality products choices. and great service. Our last experience was at the deli where my wife and randomly eat lunch before shopping. The person watched us as we perused our choices and then stood in the back while we waited looking at us as if they couldn't tell we were ready to order. When this person walked up they ask what we wanted and we told them we would have the sandwich deal for $12 and my wife would do the half for $7. We filled out the form of choices and then waited again for the person to return and noticed the person seemed irritable with us. The person passed off our order to a lady in the back of the deli who made the sandwiches. Then the person brought them to the counter and then informed us that they are out of green salads that come with the sandwiches. The person said we could only have the deli potato chips. We told the person we did not want them as we've tried them before and they were super salty and we cannot eat them. They said well thats your only option. We asked if we could substitute for something else and the person suddenly seemed to not hear our question 3 times so I asked for the manager and the person said that there isn't one. I said then you should subtract the price of the chips off of my sandwich deal. They said no, I said I want to speak with a manager. They ignored me and then a lady from the back of the deli walked up and asked if she could help, I explained. She asked if we would like her to make a couple of the green salads. I said I would love that. We got our salads and thanked her. A similar situation happened this year in the wine & alcohol department and the store manager came out and corrected the issue 2 separate times. They have shrunk the organic produce significantly and are always out of Hemplers meat products. The cashiers have been really nice. It seems haggens is changing to a less service less quality products model but keeping the same higher prices. Sad.

I'm so sorry but I have to say this.... I was in the mood for noodles so I went to the market street cafe for a noodle & orange chicken bowl. I basically got a bowl of vinegar for over $11. If you were to ask me if I wanted a bowl of vinegar for $11 I would have thought you were crazy. The noodles were plain swollen spaghetti noodles, chicken, celery, carrots and I couldn't taste anything but vinegar. I cant believe what I just ate. Market Street Cafe is known for high standards yet I feel like I am stuck in the twilight zone! Until you get all the new ingredients and flavors down with the new recipes I don't think this is a full priced menu item and should not be sold to the public. Something is wrong please have perishable manager figure this out. My mouth & stomach are very mad right now and my dog wouldn't even eat the chicken. Sorry but you can do better.
