Very unpleasant curbside pickup experience this morning. The employee assisting me was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was no greeting or basic courtesy. I opened my trunk for her and provided the pickup code as required, yet she showed a poor attitude throughout the interaction. Most concerning, she slammed my trunk shut with full force, which felt unnecessary and disrespectful. This behavior was unacceptable and far below the level of customer service I expect from Safeway. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.

There have been multiple times where I’ve found items on the shelf that are past expiration or sell by date. I’ve also seen fish left out late at night in the seafood department. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra couple of minutes to a store that you can trust. I would not consume any food from this store.

Note- I realize this review is a bit overdue but I have been a bit busy as of late as I am certain all of you can surely understand. As for my experience, I am truly getting to the point where I HATE and will no longer be a patron of the particular Safeway. I know I have done a review on them in the past and their less than amazing customer service. I wish I could tell you the service has improved but it has not. So, let's start there this morning.... I literally walked up to the deli counter just 5 minutes prior to closing and I understand they are closing up shop but please hear me when I say the item I wanted was literally a print the ticket item. There was no mess, no cutting, no time consuming thing but they still turned me away even after my pleas. All the time she stood there taking to me she could have printed the dang ticket! Then, if I may again just caution you to check the expiration/use by date on products you purchase there... please see photos.. this product was on a feature and every other one I picked up was expired. I informed an Associate while I was there and yet when I went back in ( so hard not to go there out of convenience alone but trust I am so out of patience!!) They were still there!! Anyway, the service is terrible and many associates are rude- not all- but many. I went up front to check out and the attendant literally came over almost every other item to check if I had scanned all of my products. It was extremely offensive and over the top. I understand a lot if theft and things happens at self check. I have been in senior management for security in one form or another for years but there is a way to approach things and this was not it. Anyway, I would simply like to wrap all of this up by saying ou will wait extended periods for service, people will all but stand over you while you checkout, but most importantly please check the dates on your food!! Have a great day and happy new year's everyone!!

Overall found what I wanted and store ok. But had to use the restroom asked someone scanning bakery items to open door. She paged because didn't know code. Waited about 5 minutes and no response. Asked her again and she rudely said I will in a minute. Still no response. I could see multiple employees ignore page. Asked someone else who told a disabled employee to come open door instead of doing it himself. Really not nice and bordering on discrimination. I realize that the drug problem is not stores fault but seriously should not have to ask repeatedly and be treated rudely just to use restroom.

Accused me of stealing this morning 12/22/25 approximately 6:30 am young African American women grabbed my cart and dragged it to the u scan attendant (a older african American man with black shirt who seemed in charge and ultimately helped me TRY to call or get a hold of the manager Steve who did not respond I had to go find him in a aile ) working alongside a older Philippino women who asked me where I checked out from? I quickly responded shouldn't you know where?!... right there! I asked them several times if they wanted to see my receipt and they ignored me I even talked to the manager who was not at all understanding. I understand your store is targeted by thieves but that doesn't make it ok to accuse EVERYONE of stealing ( read reviews below) this is grounds for a lawsuit! I had all my items out since I had bags in the car I had 6 cans of tuna, one whole chicken, one beef liver, 6 breakfast burritos and a coffee I had purchased from Starbucks, pretty easy to look at those items in a cart and check them with a receipt. Very poor management! Contacted district will keep going people should NOT be treated this way!
