- CRChris “Lith” RaymondOct 21, 20253.0Aah, how I miss the years of 2007-2010; when Nordstrom's coffee and Peets coffee shops reigned supreme above all else but things change with time and unfortunately so has the quality of all Nordstrom Ebars versus their competition. The coffee just tastes like flavored dust whenever I'm at ANY Nordstrom ebar and no it's not the employees working, they're working with low quality beans and little to no training and that's not their fault -- it's Nordtroms (they're following the footsteps of Barnes and noble at this point) When I go to a local coffee shop or cafe, yes the quality will be 100% better because it's an actual location fixated on coffee, however, Nordstrom used to be really good as an alternative for when you can't travel to those places or when you want to avoid starbucks and go to a mall instead for non-burnt coffee beans. I'll go to the Ebars if im in a pinch and I'll just get a basic mocha or dark coffee now since they'll be the most consistent in flavor to like a starbucks. Overall, Nordstrom has lost its charm, it's quality and is on the way out just like Barnes and Nobles except that their coffee was always good and it just fell under as a company with the times. Avoid all Ebars unless you're in a pinch, support the Baristas and don't be angry at them for doing their best.
