- GMG MwMar 31, 20262.0Ok so I have lived in the area Chelan,Douglas and Okanagan counties for almost 40 yrs. I have shopped all of the safeways in this area and many more in different states. This safeway you have to watch everything you buy. Signature salads in the bag are bad. I picked through an intire bag and got less than a bowl out of it. The rest was brown and wilted. Produce carrots in the bag are often expired. Broccoli is old and limp yellow and flowered. You often have to interrupt meal preparation to take stuff back. I got home with a bottle of ranch the bottle was cracked. Then my eggs had one missing and some were broke. Yes I know I should have checked it over better. People employed there should also check what they are selling you to though. I have seen things on there shelves expired. The Produce section has mushy tomatoes,icky avacodos,the point is if you have Produce gone bad then don't clean out the slime from it after removed the next tomatoes ,carrots avacodos whatever you put down is going to go bad also from sitting in the filth.. You might be better off instead of paying high prices for what you get there and having to drive back to refund or exchanges . You might as well go to the damned food bank and get better stuff for free. I get tired of bad stuff for high prices and add gas to it to return stuff. DO BETTER SAFEWAY AT THIS LEAVENWORTH LOCATION.! Other wise I would suggest the other store!
