This is my first time within the establishment but fourth time eating here and I'm still drooling over their catfish. We had the sampler plate that came with fried oysters, fries, catfish and shrimp. The food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I love how the batter wasn't too thick, but it was crunchy and overall seasoned well. The owner came out and said hi, he even put on some amazing tunes for us as we sat and ate. The atmosphere was very friendly, from the staff to some other customers that were there. Definitely will be coming back for more and dreaming about their food every night 😂.

I watched as this staff rudely and violently almost assaulted a customer over a GIFT CARD!!! A customer came into the establishment after she purchased a gift card from their website (which they lie and claims doesn’t work— their website works just fine. You can literally click and do everything BUT order food). I went to go look myself and YES they offer and sell gift cards on their website. Instead of them asking her how they could make it right, the woman behind the counter immediately starting taking off her jewelry like she wanted to fight and the man who is all over their Instagram tried to say she was recording them (which she wasn’t). He then proceeds to follow her into the parking lot with a broomstick. Luckily he knew better than to approach because she was armed and ready to shoot him (as I would If a GROWN MAN follows me to my car with a weapon). Police arrived and told him and his staff they were completely out of line and if she shot him, she would be well within her rights. It was probably the most UNPROFESSIONAL, UNPROVOKED, UNNECESSARY way to handle business. Just know 2026 is going to be a very interesting LEGAL year for them.

After hearing positive reviews about your restaurant, I visited your website where I was impressed by the menu and decided to purchase a gift card. The transaction was completed successfully, and I received a confirmation email. However, when I called the restaurant to clarify a few details, I was informed that your establishment does not offer gift cards and does not accept online orders. The representative I spoke with suggested that I must have been scammed, which was both confusing and disheartening, especially as I was looking at your official website where gift cards were clearly advertised.
This leads me to question the authenticity of your website. If it does not belong to your business, I urge you to take action to have it removed to prevent further confusion for your customers. The failure to address this issue reflects poorly on your business practices and customer service.
During my call, I maintained a calm demeanor, as I believe in treating all employees with respect. However, the representative's condescending tone was disappointing. When I requested to speak with the owner, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful.
I believe that this situation could have been handled more professionally. An immediate apology for the confusion and a clear explanation of the issue would have been appropriate. If your website is temporarily down or if gift cards are no longer available, it is crucial to communicate this to your customers clearly.
In conclusion, I hope you take this complaint seriously and improve your business practices. Customer service should be a priority, and I believe there is significant room for improvement in this area.

I’ve read your response and I can clearly see the problem. I didn’t call about an online order. The conversation was about the gift card purchase . That’s it. We only spoke about online ordering when she said the site was down. I explained several times that I was planning to use the card in to restaurant.

I've moved to WA from the south a year ago. I experienced Hot Fish House early summer and it's my second time back! I love the fish and the tenderness of the wings. The service is ALWAYS great and has a down home feeling! 🥰 the daiquiris don't disappoint and I love the atmosphere. If you're looking for good food and southern hospitality, this is a great place to make you feel at home! Oh and my kids and I love the Mac'n'cheese and collards! And my mommy loves it everytime she visits lol. Next up on my tastebud's bucket list is the turkey leg!
