  I love Haggen, but I’m giving it 4 stars because of an unsatisfactory experience I had with the bakery. For my son’s birthday I ordered custom cupcakes and 2 cakes. The cupcakes and one cake were great, but the big cake for his party didn’t look like I expected it to and it was too late to have them redo it or go elsewhere. My son and I picked out the Paw Patrol design and I was expecting the cake I picked up to be a replica of it, or at least an effort made to copy the picture closely. I was shocked at how different the colors were and that the picture wasn’t that similar. The clouds were completely different and they didn’t put on trees. I was disappointed because the design IN GENERAL was not what I would have chosen. When I voiced my dissatisfaction, the lady told me that they only take inspiration from the design from their book, they don’t copy it. This was another surprise. They should have told me that when we put in the order so we could have decided if we were willing to gamble on what picture we would get. There was no apology and the lady seemed irritated that I was complaining. She said they could add trees if I wanted, but it wasn’t just the trees. The whole picture was the problem. And if they could do trees for me now, why didn’t they just do trees when they made it? After asking for a discount they gave me 10% off. I wasn’t happy with that, but had to take it and the cake. The cake was delicious though. And I will get future cakes from them, but now I know not to pick out designs from their book and expect to get that design. I hope this review reaches someone who this info is helpful to since they won’t tell you when placing the order.

  As somone who has visited many Haggen stores, I must say, this might be my favorite. It's not the largest store of the bunch but it definitely stands out. Haggen is unique for having its own design and identity. This store is a good representation of that. The brands signature architecture and services are well displayed at this location. For practical purposes, this store is outstanding! It has a wonderful deli, produce section, meat, and seafood departments, a lovely bakery, as well as a great whine department. The only downside to this specific location is the absence of a salad bar, which can be found at the woodenville location. Although other than that this store is wonderful.
