I'm 42 and born and raised in kirkland. The cashiers give my children coloring pages for contests and stickers when we check out. Today was absolutely humiliating! I called this AM to inquire about exchanging diapers that were the wrong size for my littlest. Sure, they said! Came in at 2pm. Grabbed a box in the right size and headed to the customer service center. Talked with Alex and showed him the receipt on my phone. Right off the bat, I could tell he was skeptical. He then started rifling through the diaper box exclaiming "some are missing" I replied, yes, that's how I know they were the wrong size. He pretty much decided right then and there, it was a zero chance this was going to happen on his watch. He then told me to take them to the Juanita Safeway where I bought them. Fair, didn't know that was an issue. I then took my kids and 2 diaper boxes right accross from him to the u scan. He couldn't have been quicker to have me within eye sight. He literally ran over to the u scan checker area. I stand in line and am scanning my new correct size box of diapers after waiting for my turn all while I can feel him, not even a few yards away never taking his eyes off me. Even whispering with the checker all while still looking directly at me. I had enough! I loudly asked if "he thinks I'm going to steal the diapers, I'm not! I have my kids with me and would never do that anyway!" "I can see you looking at me. I'm not an idiot!" My kids are now getting upset and all the employees and customers are staring at me. I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life! When I walked past, I asked his name to which he responded with, Alex. I then walked out with 2 kids, 5 and 2 yrs in tow and TWO GIANT boxes of diapers in my cart to my car... absolutely shaking! How in the Hell would someone even be able to steal with all that on thier plate?! I mean, really! 🤣 This man should be ashamed for profiling me this way. He needs serious training on actual threats to the store and some genuine classes in compassion. He could not have made me feel more little as a woman or a mom. I'm still in shock. Pretty sure I'll never step foot in that store again sadly. Disgusting
