Location, costs, personnel, store cleanliness, availability, and convenience. This store meets every concern we have. We love this store. It is not too large you have to spend the day finding what you want but at times, they may be low or not carry what a larger store has. It's a trade off but we are happy. The Bakery usually has most things you need or they will order it for you. The Deli is first rate. I do wish it offered a bit more in the prepared foods as Poulsbo with Chinese, but, what is there is fresh. Outstanding chicken, both baked and fried, with a nice selection of salads, and lunch meats. It is one of my favorite departments. Next is the Meat Department. This counter is well maintained with a fresh selection as good as any. Often the chicken breast are about 1 pound each and do not appear to be full of water as they barely shrink when cooked. Steaks are cut to perfection and the selection is as good as any other store, maybe better. The selection of fish I also impressive. Some prices are higher, but like any store, some items are higher priced, and you need to shop the best deals. But, while high in some areas, it makes it up in others. The only disappointment I have fairly regularly is the lack of regular availability for Jumbo Eggs! All in all, we strongly recommend this store for your every need. Please support the local businesses so we keep them here with us. They offer a first rate pharmacy while you shop. Think about it this way....by the time you drive from Hansville to Poulsbo (20 to 30 minute), and back, you’ve spent time and money on gas, that makes up the differences in costs looking for a grocery store with lower prices.
