Digital coupon for some drinks at the registers weren't properly applying and even with proof showing the deal the worker at checkout would not correct the mistake. While the worker was polite, the would not honor and correct the situation.

After walking around the store and gathering a full cart of groceries I arrived at the checkout area to find that there were ZERO mainline check stands open. I approached a couple different employees who said that self scan was available. The only other option was the cashier in the alcohol area. I went to stand in the line that was forming for that cashier and then was moved by an employee to self scan. This was the absolutely worst customer service I have ever seen in a Safeway location. I worked for many years in grocery and I know that snow causes alot of sick calls but having no mainline check stands open is unacceptable. I pulled my full cart of groceries thru the self scan and felt like maybe I should just re-instate my union card and come back to the business. I hope that this situation is handled better in the future. This is not good customer service

I had a large armload of things and went to check out. Only one register open with a line going halfway down the aisle. So I’m forced to work for free for Safeway and do self checkout. Only the place to put your items after scanning was way too small for all my groceries. Finally got everything bagged up and just wanted to get out of there, but now they have a guy stopping everyone to check your receipts. So I had to wait in a 10 minute line JUST to get the hell out of there?! It’s a miserable experience every time I shop at this place.
