  I have shopped at this Safeway since 2002, although less often due to my age and lack of bathroom facilities. Three times now, upon exiting the store (after having my receipt reviewed by Security), the wheels on the shopping cart have locked, requiring an employee to come over to unlock them. Unfortunately, today, although Security tried very hard, there was nobody available to unlock the cart. It was blocking the whole exit. I ended up carrying several heavy bags to my car and pulling a ligament in my leg. While I certainly understand the need for receipt reviews, and the employees at this store work hard and are pleasant, I find it inexcusable to not be able to exit the store after dropping normally over $100 per trip because shopping cart wheels lock up. I am not a criminal, and you should be a lot more respectful toward your loyal customers. Please train your staff to ascertain that the carts are unlocked when brought inside the store, or have someone stationed at the door, at all times, with the ability to unlock wheels so this does not happen again. Enough is enough!

  Needed 2 things to prepare for my work weekend. I was at the door at 2352. Doors locked and the guy would not let me in. Closes at 12. I understand not doing a huge shop close to closing time but j needed 2 things and knew were they were. Even online says open and it was not. So just post 1130 closing time.

  This Safeway can be challenging to get a decent parking spot as it's not a large lot and it also has other small businesses in the same lot, so I'm assu assuming they get an overflow of customers competing for a good spot even if they aren't shopping at Safeway. There are certain spots you can get free wifi for McDonald's and another business if you need? This Safeway does have a lot of alcoholic beverages/ bottles, medications &/or toiletries locked up so you have to get a store employee to help you if you need these items? I find this to be frustrating when you're in a hurry? I understand there's a high theft problem, but I'm looking at it from a customer's point of view-(i.e., an honest customer). So, it can be frustrating. There are a lot of people asking for money in the parking lot or in front of the store. It's sketchy at nighttime.
