Why did they take most of the seating out of the eating area? I come there for my lunch break. I was in the other day and there was no table free. The customers that were eating commented the same feelings that I had. We all thought it was terrible. I don't have time to go see if there's any room for me to have my lunch. So now my lunch plans have changed. I will no longer be going to the deli at safeway for my lunch break. I am one person.I'm sure many people feel this way. You're taking away from your customers. So that you can store water and summer things?

Horrible service, there is new management I had to wait 18 minutes to get help at custmer service because they guy working there was in the checkstand. I asked to speak to Bob the store director just to find out they have a New director Who doesn't know how to do custmer service, no Wonder there were long lines im very upset. The fact that i had to wait because no one knew how do custmer service is crazy, they put a courtesy clerk to try to help that was ridiculas, the kid seem nice but he didn't know how to do western unión.

New management sucks, the store director she walks around micromanaging the employees, She can't check or do self checkout not even Customer service. Im very disappointed, why would corporate hire someone like that and put them in charged. Based on my experience and what I have seen she doesn't care about customers she rather make them wait 25 minutes then offer her assistance because she doesn't know how to run the customer service desk. She also doesn't care how she treats her employees, she was yelling at a lady at the deli the other day something about how no one told her something was broken she was clearly having a day. I felt so embarrassed for the employee being yell in front of customers I'm pretty sure everyone else there heard her too.

I was at deli and a lady was yelling at another employee I wanted to complain and asked to speak to the store Director because I thought it was very unprofessional. When the Lady at self checkout pointed out the store Director was very disappointed she was the same lady that was yelling at the employee at the deli. I used to really like Safeway but I have noticed some changes and im very disappointed. The store Director there clearly doesn't care for the customers or employees

Very Disappointing Changes at Safeway Kenmore. I’ve been a loyal customer at this Safeway location for over eight years, coming in almost every single day to shop and regularly purchase lottery tickets and scratch tickets along with groceries. For most of those years, this store has been full of wonderful, professional employees who treat customers well. Unfortunately, things have changed recently, and not for the better. Since the arrival of new management, several frustrating issues have started appearing. The biggest one is the sudden decision to no longer accept credit cards for lottery tickets and scratch tickets, allowing only cash or debit. What’s confusing is that other Safeway locations still accept credit cards for lottery purchases, which strongly suggests that this is a local management decision, not a rule from the lottery office. The Washington Lottery does not impose payment methods on retailers—it’s usually up to store management. Another issue is the customer service counter constantly being closed at odd hours. Many times you walk up and there’s simply no one there, or employees explain they’re short-staffed. Yet at the same time, the store frequently has “Now Hiring” signs posted, and every few months you see new employees who disappear shortly after. As someone who managed gas stations for many years, this pattern is very familiar. When employees come in, get trained, and then disappear after a short time, it usually means something is wrong with management, scheduling, pay, or workplace conditions. And above all, it seems they need to pay their employees better, because the turnover and lack of staffing really suggest something is off. Bottom line: They need to get organized management-wise.”
