It's a Safeway, there is gas a block away.
Same Same cookie cutter.
There are no small carts for disabled persons, so if you're shopping for 2 weekly, and can't bend over to reach in the large carriage, you should just go to QFC on Gillman..The parking lot is cleaner, the entrance clean and they do have plenty of smaller carts making it easier to push, fill, unload etc.
I was told when I asked that all the carts were stolen. Management should be flogged as you can bet they used their insurance on the loss. So they should be replaced.
Those small carts were put in play for disabled Americans.
Also, there are new carts systems that auto lock the wheels outside of the parking lot
Big and small carts.
That pretty much guarantees they loose zero more carts.
What are you thoughts on stores that make their clients work for every penny going to the ultra rich.

They’re not even trying anymore. Day before Easter and zero checkout lanes open and half the self checkout lanes out of commission. And it’s not as if they pass the savings to you, Trader Joe’s is still less expensive and has actual checkout lanes open. Nothing differentiates Safeway from Amazon anymore. At least Amazon bags my groceries.

Bought candy bars at the cashier and they all turned to be expired since July 2025. How is this even possible? I bought it yesterday, 3/8/2026 - candy bars were all way beyond the expiration date. f I knew that this safeway sells expired food I would keep my receipt.
For those who like to grad a candy at the check out, make sure you ALWAYS check the expiration date because this Safeway will sell you anything without even checking. As a customer, I want to buy good products without double checking each expiration date. If your staff doesn't read this review, I hope that the store management does something about it.
