Friendly staff. The bakery cooler items were VERY limited and that was my reason for shopping. But it was late in the evening. A general observation regarding the safeway bakery. The bakeries seem to have different suppliers. The same product will be a different size, taste, and decorated differently when purchased from different safeway stores. The inconsistency makes them unreliable. Because I don't find the same baked goods from store to store.

Candy selection was mediocre, and the POS card readers were acting up. Meh

I also wish there was a way to leave a review for the employees not Safeway itself I've shopped at Safeway for over 20 years, and I've never been treated so horribly at Safeway or any other store for that matter.... So, I bought a few food items and some Advil and paid for the food with my EBT card amused cash for the Advil only to come out and find out that my boyfriend had just bought some Advil. Since we didn't need 2 bottles I asked him to just return it for me. He came out of while later telling me that they refused to give him cash back even though I paid cash for it but that she insisted on putting it on the same EBT card that I had used and accused him of "finding the receipt on the ground then going in and getting a bottle and trying to return it for cash. She kept telling him that they were reviewing the cameras" she straight up told him that she was not going to give him any cash! So I went in there with my EBT card and explained that I didn't want it on my EBT card that I had paid cash and wanted cash back and that she flat refused told me that I had stolen from there before she accused me of being a thief she was so disrespectful and unprofessional it was crazy! Not only that but her and another employee were like ganging up on me about it and as soon as I said fine just put it on my EBT card they refuse to do that and she put it on a gift card granted at this time it was for under $5 because I had gotten a magic eraser so the change was just over $3 and she refused to give that to me. I tried to explain to her that I have never been to the store let alone this town before and my life so she must be mistaken me for somebody else and she just kept telling me that their reviewing the cameras and that I stole from there before and rolled her eyes at me and granted this was all done very loud very unprofessionally in front of all the customers around people were shaking their heads at me shaking their heads at her it was absolutely humiliating and unnecessary considering I did absolutely nothing wrong so today I talked to the new store manager Kelsey and she said that she was going to talk to this individual and that she would get back to me on Friday so we'll see how that goes PS...the employee I am referring to is the one that is very short and very huge with brown hair. I don't know what her name is. When I asked her who the store manager was she told me that she was a manager so I asked who her supervisor was and she told me "she's the one that told me to watch you" and said she wrnt on her lunch break. So I said asked her who her district manager was and she told me that she didn't know. You would think especially a store manager would for one know how to read a receipt and for two know who their supervisor is this lady lied she falsely accused me of stealing and absolutely humiliated me and makes me never want to go to another Safeway store at least not anytime soon Also FYI the restroom was so disgusting I was scared to touch anything in there.
