It does no good to repeatedly express concerns for ones safety as it falls on deaf ears. Apparently nothing they will do about the homeless man that regularly spends most of the day out on the front corner smoking and loitering. He even uses the stores carts to haul his belongings and park them right up against the store. I understand people fall on hard times or choose a lifestyle for whatever reason; this is not the place to post up. UPDATE: I called again at lunch and was finally told by the manager, Zack, that the homeless person hasn't broken any ”rules” so the police cannot get involved to remove him from the premises. It is now approaching 5:00 and he is still there with all of his things. It's really unfortunate that their hands are supposedly tied and there's nothing they can do to remove this person who is allowed to smoke and loiter all day on private property. I appreciate the owner of the store reaching out and asking if I wanted any further communication. I do not see the point as there is nothing you can do to remove this man. Therefore, I will be shopping elsewhere to maintain my health and safety.

Desperate, heart racing, and feeling a sweat come over me, I pleaded in desperation to my new personal here - a medium height and build guy, salt & pepper hair and beard, with glasses - stocking in meats - who said - let's check the end of this aisle - alas - nothing - but then I explained my situation - he knew he had a mission, like a happy warrior, he accepted. 5 minutes later, he burst out from the back of the store holding the jar high in total victory!!! The hand off was secure and sure - and thanks to him - thank you to the people who hired him my special homemade cinnamon raisin - cherry vanilla bread using Bluebird Grains ancient grains - was SAVED! With all that is happening in this world - especially here in Gig Harbor where we have experienced a double homicide across the street, and being burglarized 2x in the past month - this was an amazing event for which I will recount for decades. Thank you Safeway!
