The deli here is awful, the staff are extremely rude and try to gaslight you when they sell old, unsafe, or substandard items.

Stood at self checkout for a bit waiting for someone to come check my ID since they dont staff anyone at the normal registers anymore. Finally see homeboy (younger white guy whos supposed to be manning self checkout at 11pm on Wednesday nights) casually stroll out from the office and proceed to take his time after he saw me standing there waiting for him. Buddy definitely needs to learn how to hustle at work, hes always just standing around bullshiting with his coworkers or customers. Obviously customer service was never taught. If I saw someone waiting for me to check their ID I would be jogging back to my station and apologizing for the wait. Not casually strolling back while looking right at the customer whos waiting for me. Im a regular here and he knows that, hes checked my ID many times and still cant remember my birthday like all the other employees do. Way to lose your store my business bud, I'm just going to shop elsewhere now. Your guy's prices are getting to be ridiculous too btw.

The change from Albertsons to Safeway branding was a huge plus. There is a definite increase in the selection of produce and cheese. More "gourmet" type items are now available throughout the store, reducing frustration when trying to buy specific items for a recipe. The are parking lot continues to be well lighted, clean, and feels safe.
