- JJJT6 days ago3.0Definitely reminded me why I don't go to subway anymore. It's frustrating enough when most subways don't offer a majority of the promotion items due to being franchised, but this one did at a higher price than the advertised website price. That should have been my first clue to leave but I was hungry and what's an extra dollar, ok. After going to pay the sign says(not hidden by a hand written sign) that you can get chips OR cookies included in the sub of the day meal. So I decided to do just that and was charged almost 2 dollars for substitution. I asked the worker what the deal with that was, and her being new, she had to call her manager who proceeded to tell her that the price is right. Cookies cost extra. Not gonna argue with them I took my food and left. But what should have been a cheap lunch turned almost full price for one of their subs. They seem to be penny pinching their customers according to some of these reviews, trying to get as much out of them as they can. I would just go to Jersey Mike's.

I read the previous experiences and had a lot of those at many of their other locations but this one was good. Right amount of meat, cheese and veggies and not overboard with the sauces. I will admit that pricing has gone through the roof for most fast food type businesses. It was $15 for a footlong sub, I can recall the prices being about $5 cheaper not that long ago. When companies get too high in cost the end result is usually the collapse of the business. I'm only giving it until the end of the year before deciding if Subway will remain as 1 of my lunchtime meal places.
