Someone should tell the guy checking receipts customers are NOT required to show it or anything.
You have cameras, security tags, staff etc.
If people are still stealing, time to hire more staff

I’ve ordered 32 pcs of fried chicken from deli for pickup, and this is the 2X they forgot my order. Disappointed but they do make good fried chicken when it’s fresh.

If there’s giant black flies around the fried food, don’t buy any. If this store can’t figure out, get rid of it entirely. Brought fried chicken back to my family and within every little crevice I could find were hundreds of white fly eggs. Great news is we will never be eating unhealthy fried chicken ever again. Nightmare fuel so I will spare the photos. This place also has reached the point where it should require ID to get in or at least crank up the airflow it smells like a dump.

This is my local grocery store in which I live closest to. My family and I shop here and use their pharmacy.
I do not write reviews often, maybe a couple or few times, including this one, in my 50 years of life. It pains me to have to express myself in this way. I thought about just ignoring it and go about my business but I felt compelled to write about my experience.
I have a chronic illness that I have been dealing with for almost 2 decades. I try to be normal and not physically show it because I will not let it control my life.
This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used.. Recently, I tried to have a prescription filled that I’ve filled for years.
It became such a pain in the butt with no help provided. A huge run around and I’m suffering mentally and physically.
I remind you that I’ve been on medications for at least 15 years and it is necessary for me to get through my daily full time job, and life.
My wife tells me how rude they are to her as I have asked her to help me while I am busy at work or not feeling well. She tells me they do not pick up her phone calls using her phone and pick up the call using a different number. Then keeps her holding and waiting until it goes to a recording and hangs up.
I understand there are some medications that are frowned upon but I felt like I was judged and treated like a criminal for no apparent reason but to get a prescription that is legally written by a medical doctor.
I am a husband of 30 years. I am a father of 4 daughters and a grandfather to 6 grandchildren. I have a full time job since I was old enough to work and am currently a field operations manager who deals with face to face clients daily. I understand what customer service means and looks like.
I am not some homeless or a sketchy person and unfortunately I have to take medications to help with my daily responsibilities. I should not have to feel anxious picking up my medication. When I have come in to pick up my prescription, I am dressed properly, try to conversate, am polite and thank the staff.
I currently have moved on and I will never get my prescription filled here ever, or step foot in a Safeway again for groceries.
I apologize for this review and I am positive this does not reflect Safeway as a whole. Every customer is different, every customer walks their own path in life, but every customer should be treated as you yourself would like to be treated.
Obviously the experience has bothered me enough to waste my time on a Saturday morning to share, so that hopefully others will not be judged or treated this way.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Sincerely S.T
