Ripoff city. Rude lady at selfcheck and a rude tiny old dude at the deli. Go with Fred Meyer or Amazon Prime if you are on a budget. One Safeway staffer actually told me Fred Meyer is better. $5.99 for 4 chicken tenders is their special?!?! Fried chicken Monday 8pc deal is just dried out chicken backs and drummette-sized drumsticks, inflated by excessive oily breading. Broken, poorly staffed registers. Sign says buy 2 get 50% off on Franz donuts. Both rang up full price. Cashier could not remove them from the register tally even trying 6 times. I mentioned I was in a rush and she went to help someone else before resolving my register issue. Also, lacking in Asian options and expensive for meats. 1lb of reduced price chuck for 12$ - bargain bins are a scam. Finally, stay away from the Starbucks. Twice now I have had extremely bitter, old tasting coffee. Once it was Pikes drip and once it was Cold Brew. Horrible experiences. Had to toss them both.

I had a home delivery for 13 items today and recieved only four! And no, not one of my items were out of stock. I called the customer service number at the bottom of the page of my reciept, and I was speaking to a female in the customer service center for home deliveries, who just left me on hold. Then a different woman from the Silver Firs Safeway picked up. I explained that I WAS talking to customer service with home deliveries and was left on hold and somehow got transferred to her. I ended up finally getting a gentleman on the phone with me by the name of Caleb, who listened patiently and was so kind even though I was very angry & I was sure to let him know my anger was NOT directed at him, but I was very angry. I was angry that I had to even shop at Safeway instead of Amazon due to Safeways OUTRAGEOUS prices because only Safeway had what my son wanted. I was angry that the delivery time was four hours wide. I was angry I was charged for the late delivery as well as a tip to a driver who only delivered 4 out of 13 items. Now, back to Caleb, I was refunded both the delivery & delivery tip fee. Then Caleb personally shopped all of my missing items for me. He even personally called me when an item I ordered 2 of, now only had 1, so he helped me select a replacement. To top it off he made sure my missing items are coming to me through Door Dash, so I didn't need to wait for another 4 hours or more for the missing items that I WAS most definitely CHARGED FOR, and Caleb had it Door Dashed at NO additional COST to me. Caleb was SO helpful and SO kind, he made me go from anger to true gratefulness because there are still some RARE people out there that TRULY understand what the concept of GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE still means, and THAT IS CALEB. Unfortunately, the home delivery did not send their typical 'How did your delivery go?' so I could leave my review and comments there where they truly belong. And I am sure they did not send it because they know EXACTLY how my delivery went. 😡 But thanks to Caleb, AND ONLY CALEB, he saved the day. Especially because I was recently blinded in one eye and I can't drive. Thank you, Caleb, if you are reading this. You really were a super hero, who went above and beyond for me and I want you to know how much I appreciate you and everything you did for us. 😊 Sincerely, and with MANY thanks, Cara Solis! ❤️
