I do have 1 good thing to say about 1 of the employees today but the rest of my experience today was that this Safeway has gone downhill majorly! Between 2:15 & 2:45 pm on 2/22/'26 I first noticed that they took away the in-Safeway Starbucks but I didn't want anything from there so it just shocked me it didn't bother me & I wonder if ALL Safeways are doing this? Besides that 1 could be justified with the fact that just across the street is an actual Starbucks cafe. I didn't need to do any major grocery shopping today I just came in for Deli snacks. I didn't pay much attention to the hot deli foods because of my Dr.-ordered Low-fat & Low-to-no-cholesterol diet but what I was looking at they didn't have very many selections! I made my selection for me & my sister (decided to get us both the same thing she said to surprise her anyway) deli-packed salami+cheddar-triangles+crackers. They had coupons on them that the self checkout machine had a cow about but the attendant (woman with light blue polo, long dark curly hair & glasses) was helpful! Same employee helped me when I came back because after I left is when I saw the meat & cheese was spoiled! I guess that's why they had coupons but Safeway shouldn't be selling food-poisoning to their customers! Id had deli meat & cheese snacks that looked questionable in the past but chose to eat anyway & I'd got sick those times so today I did not take any chances! Nobody was available at customer service but the helpful self checkout attendant noticed I needed help & took care of my return! Lastly the employee supposed to be checking receipts; not the same employee who helped me this was a man somebody different, was just letting people walk right past him! When I left the 1st time I stopped to have him check my receipt because it's the right thing to do! But I wonder if he would had stopped me or not if I chose not to bother!? He obviously didn't want to be there doing his job! The 2nd time I didn't even see him but nobody stopped me (?) so I'm not sure what's going on but this Safeway sucks @$!

Doors were already locked at 11:50 p.m. and I was told by an employee that they always close 10 minutes early. Oh well, next time I won't waste my time stopping here first, I will just go to winco, their customer service and prices are way better anyway.

I shop at this location frequently with my family, and up until recently my experiences have generally been positive. However, during a recent visit I had a very concerning interaction at the front entrance.
As I was leaving the store, an individual acting as a security guard confronted me in front of my children, loudly accusing me of theft and using profanity. This was extremely upsetting and embarrassing, particularly given that I had done nothing wrong.
I understand that retail stores are working to reduce theft, and I respect the need for reasonable loss-prevention measures. However, in this situation there were no posted signs, no clearly communicated policy, and no prior notice that customers were required to present receipts at the door. To my knowledge, there was no clearly established rule being communicated to customers, yet I was publicly accused and spoken to in a disrespectful manner.
I believe situations like this could be avoided by ensuring that staff or contractors interacting with customers are professional and trained in appropriate conduct, and by clearly communicating any store policies so customers understand what is expected of them.
I am sharing this feedback in the hope that management will review how these situations are handled so that other families do not have a similar experience.
As of right now i will be taking my money to another store.

Always had a good experience here and never had a problem finding what I needed. It's also right next to a bunch of other stores which makes it a convenient store to shop if you need other things such as craft materials or clothing which are stores located in the same plaza. It also has a gas station

There’s an old white lady there with white hair, who was the rudest person I have ever met in my entire life!! She totally accused me of stealing and kicked me out of the store for no reason and told the security guard at the front that I was “no longer welcome” in the Safeway. I pray that you get some help with your staffing because that is absolutely insane. I wish I could talk to your corporate office about the behavior of your employees.
