I have been going here for years. They have the same selection as other stores. It doesn't have quite as many people trying to get cash out of those entering the parking lot as there used to be. But I'm always able to get in and out quickly and the staff has always been fast and efficient.

This Safeway is no different from all the others. They're over priced and sell expired products. If you think I'm wrong, just ask the store manager how old the 🍎apples 🍏 are (They won't give you an answer, they'll tell you to contact corporate and ask them). Most of the apples that are being sold from not only Safeway, but most grocery chains (And membership based) buy in bulk (hoard), store them in freezers in their warehouses then sell "You" (the customer) year old apples. Every year after the pandemic started, they used a few excuses for the high prices for apples + Food in general, which are: 1. There was a shortage of apples due to bad crops during this years apple season (Apple season is between late August- November). Think I'm lying, then next time you buy apples (For instants Honey crisp) look at the apples, does it look a little brownish in spots? Is it Cold, like it had just come out of a refrigerator? Or after buying them, small the apple before bitting in to it or peeling it if you don't smell anything, peel some of the skin, (not all apples that are old will had this scent but...) it may smell like mildew or a mix of mildew & soil, it means it's really old and you shouldn't try to eat it. I've bitten into a couple and the taste is horrendous. I've also cut apples in half to find mildew growing in the core + I've found the core to be completely rotten, though the outside was fine. I'm a huge apple person, but since the pandemic, the stores have been conning us. Think about this, Washington State is the Biggest producer of Apples, but yet Washingtonians are paying 2-3 times more (For year old apples, not even this years crop), than what apples are worth. 2. Inflation They use inflation as the excuse for high prices on all food. 3. Tariffs. Yes, we do get a lot of products from outside the U.S. but the tariffs are just another excuse.

Everett Safeway on 41st and Rucker has been our go to grocery store for many years. Recently we had two similar experiences with staff that warranted mentioning. Today my husband asked about a medication at the pharmacy. The pharmacist went out of her way to help us research and look for a product to help our daughter with nausea due to pregnancy. Afterwards she found us still shopping in the store and offered two specific products that she knew to be recommended by doctors. She reminded us to make sure and check with the doctor before using. We have known this pharmacist since our daughter was young. She remembered her and we talked about how everyone is doing. A few weeks ago a young employee we did not know helped us in a similar way. We stopped him in an isle and asked for a specific item. He offered suggestions on isles to check. My husband and I had already looked there, so we thanked him and headed to checkout. As we were unloading our cart the young man showed up with the item in his hands. He said is this right? It was and we were ever so grateful. We love our Safeway store, and all of the friendly helpful faces.

The parking lot here is almost always full. Tight aisles and lots of tweaks in and out of the store since the bus stops are right on that corner. I prefer the 75th location. Way better security and cleanliness. And the better parking lot. The offerings in this store are the same as the other Safeways, but this one just doesn't feel that safe. The gas station too at night is right next to the bus stop so don't go alone if you're a female.

This post is specifically about the new bathroom policy, you have to purchase an item prior to using the restroom. My parents have shopped here for 30 years and never stolen anything. My Mom was forced to go through the line on Friday afternoon at peak shopping time. She did not make it to the bathroom in time. Also, the bathroom is DISGUSTING, it's never been clean any of the times I've been there. if your looking for a new grocery store to shop at, I highly recommend picking somewhere else. Wish I could give zero stars
