The store itself is what you’d expect—nothing particularly remarkable, but it gets the job done. There is security inside the store, and the staff generally seem to be managing things well. However, there are often some unruly individuals outside the entrance, which can make the area feel a bit uncomfortable at times. Because of that, it may not feel like the best place to visit alone late in the evening. Overall, it’s a standard Safeway location that’s convenient when you’re passing by.

That is unless it’s one of the more popular advertised sale items that week, then you’ll be hard pressed trying to find it in stock unless you’re shopping in the first few days of the week. I’ve found that Safeway is definitely one of the more pricer places to do your weekly shopping. I try to offset the price factor by planning ahead. Knowing what I have in my pantry, sticking to my shopping list, not shopping while hungry (that pretty much defeats my whole month’s buying budget in one trip!) and planning my menu’s around the weekly sales ads. I’m a very frugal shopper. I don’t enjoy paying full price for something I can get on sale! I DO enjoy looking at my receipt to find out how much $ I saved though!
