  I received the worst customer service of my life this morning at the Colville Safeway. I had three items to buy, all three clearance items. One bottle of mouthwash, 50% off original price, and 2 calendars, marked 50% off but were in a basket marked "all items $1.00". At the self-checkout, I asked the clerk to please help me with the clearance items, and I explained about the calendars price. The clerk acted like I was trying to steal from Safeway. He acted put out that he had to come to my register and manually add in the dollar items. He added one calendar for a dollar but the second one he only did the 50% off. I asked him a second time for help and he was very rude. I tried to explain both calendars were only a dollar. He stood at my register and acted like it was an enormous putout to help me. He said "Ma'am, I do not know every clearance price in the store". I answered that I did not expect him to know. He just stood there acting like he didn't want to have the hassle of fixing my prices and I was so incensed I told him to forget it and walked out. I have never been treated like this at my Safeway. Never. I left in tears.

  I ordered a cake for my granddaughter's birthday. It was frozen. The reason to put in the order so you would be made fresh. What a disappointment. If I knew there was going to freeze it I would have bought one somewhere else.

  I first want to express how I think Safeway stores all across the region go above and beyond to make customer experience as great as it can be, this takes a small army of people to be on the same page all the time. I live in North Idaho currently and wanted flowers delivered to my best friend who still lives in Colville for her birthday. I can tell you that Ms. Vicki was so helpful from the very start. She helped me arrange, design, and deliver the flowers to the location she works locally in Colville. Vicki took extra time to kindly send photos along the way until they were delivered to the destination. I really tried to tip her or set extra out for delivery and there was not an option to do so. This, my my fellow consumers is how customer service should be around our country. I would love to formally give a huge shout out to Vicki for her extraordinary service to the community. Thank you!   Like Safeway glad we have one here in colv Washington. They have great weekly adds sale. Good bakery and deli. Love there products. And there employees are awesome.
