The Brownsville Deli feels like that perfect neighborhood spot where everybody is instantly your friend and the inside jokes immediately invite you to the party. My chicken salad sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever eaten, my cider on tap was crisp and delicious, and the bluesy southern sound of Matt & Amy had me humming and swaying in my seat all evening long. What a warm, delightful place to spend a Friday night.

If you enjoy finding hidden gems, this has to be on your list. Currently enjoying a bottle of incredibly fairly priced Prosecco whilst watching boats, bald eagles and a beautiful PNW Sunday afternoon pass us by. This place is absolutely worth a visit. The owners made us feel so welcome. I can’t wait to come back. Apparently they have live music on Friday nights. If you’re a local and haven’t been here yet you really must come check it out!

Stopped by around 12noon on a Sunday. Only one other couple in the dining area so we had our choice of seating. Parking is available just outside the front door. Very casual restaurant with friendly service behind the order counter. The Reuben was very good with tasty and tender thin layers of corn beef topped with a light sauerkraut mixed with a light Russian dressing. The rye bread was light and tasty but unfortunately was not toasted in a frying pan which would have made it really good. Although the Reuben is quite good, for the price paid, there should be twice as much meat included in this sandwich. The Mac N' Cheese was good but not exceptional. Although the Reuben Sandwich is very good and tasty, for the price, it just isn't worth a return visit. We'll not be back.

I live just around the corner from the Brownsville Deli and had heard good things about it, and thought I would try it out on St. Patrick's Day. I had a fantastic Rueben sandwich and a Guinness Stout and loved the feeling of this place. Since it's so close, my wife and I can walk down there for a cold beer and some great food. See you next week!
