The selection is good, the inside of the store is generally clean and the staff are neither friendly nor unfriendly, but I absolutely loathe coming here because they have the worst carts on the planet. Every single cart is janky, sticky and loud. Sounds like you’re dragging around a sack full of wrenches.

When I went to purchase the wrong price came up, and went to take a picture and clearly it met the description but they said was not the right one. I asked if they could please help find the right one then and was told they didn’t have time for that. I just told her to forget it then and left. I understand when you’re busy but all I asked was if we could find the right one as I did want to purchase, and I thought store associates were there to help? I like the store overall but things like this happen here all too much lately, just frustrating, and not good when you have another grocery store right next door which I went to and asked if they had it and they not only helped me find it but matched Safeways sale price. I have worked in retail so won’t ever be rude to someone but if you won’t help I’ll just go somewhere else as it just isn’t worth the hassle and apparently here that’s starting to be the case.

The store has signs obviously posted saying no soliciting and yet these people have their tables set up directly under the said signs. Safeway, either take those signs down or follow through and get those people out from the entrances!! You either follow your own rules or you dont, but pick one!!

Upon entering, we noticed a cashier giving us uncomfortable looks, which we initially brushed off. Unfortunately, we later checked out with the same cashier (Lorene), and the behavior continued. She did not acknowledge us, handled our groceries carelessly by tossing items onto the belt, and avoided interaction with us while chatting with other customers nearby. I chose not to address it at the time, but my husband independently noticed the same behavior, which confirmed our concerns. We understand that everyone can have an off day, but basic courtesy and professionalism are expected in customer service at the very least.
