  Hands down one of, if not the best hot sandwich I’ve ever had. I ordered the Choripollo. The mix of the shredded chicken and the salty, spicy chorizo came layered fresh tomato, chimichuri, peppers, sauce and cheese. It was delicious and well spiced. The lettuce on the sandwich was fresh and crunchy, and created some light freshness which only added to the meat and cheese. It came with a side of potatoes doused in sauce, which was a wonderful, hearty, garlic-y addition to the sandwich. It’s hard to describe this sandwich in words, but to me, it hit every flavor profile perfectly. It was bold, exciting, and left me sad that I didn’t order more from the menu.

  The #2 was INCREDIBLE. Meat was tender, egg was fried perfectly, bread was buttered and toasted, chimichurri was delicious. I am going to crave this.

  Tried leche de tigre with my friend. He’s had authentic leche de tigre from Peru, and hyped up the dish a lot. There was not much flavor and neither of us could finish it.

  Cafe Rumba is the most unexpectedly delicious food I've tried in Bham! I typically don't like anything spicy, but I think that Peruvian food is so yummy that I can take the heat. I usually get the Butifarra with Papas, but everything on their menu is bursting with flavor and texture. I only gave the atmosphere 3 stars because it's a pretty small and cramped dining area. But if you are able to find a seat there, they are usually playing good music and it's fun to be able to watch everyone make the food! 🩷
