Safeway and albertsons have a issue with democracy. They do not respect "We the People" using the purest form of democracy, by allowing citizens to gather signatures for initiatives, which gives us our voice on policies that effect each and everyone of us! They don't believe in people's rights to stand for or against policies that our politicians push on us. This is so Unconstitutional and un-American! Safeway expects you to spend your dollars in their stores while they donate to whatever political agenda they feel fit to, but won't allow a WA citizen gather signatures for what they believe in. They put up signs telling others not to sign any petitions because they don't want initiative signature gatherers there because they support woke Marxist ideology. It doesn't matter if you are Republican or Democrat, but if you try to silence the voice of the people then you are not American! People stop giving your money to companies like Safeway that infringe on your rights as a taxpayer to stand for what you believe! I won't be giving my money to this company or any other I find that tries to silence you! Go woke, go broke!!!

I think this pharmacy has a 2 and-a-half star Yelp rating for a reason. I’m very dissatisfied with how the pharmacy staff, including the pharmacy manager, Ashley, responded to my complaint. Our vet upped my service dog’s NSAI from 75 to 100 mg. They sent the new Rx to the Belfair Safeway pharmacy. So, I ordered a refill. They used the old Rx that I did not notice until I got home, when I called. When I returned to the store the next day, I attempted to return the wrong Rx for a refund. They refused, saying it was my mistake for having checked some box for auto refill. I’m a 75-year-old, 100% service-connected disabled Vietnam veteran with a service dog. I’m uncomfortable with the technology used by this pharmacy instead of human contact, and the staff doesn’t take the time (they’re too busy) to explain the consequences of checking, for example, the auto refill box on a pin pad. Bureaucratized pharmacy. Ugh. I thought it would be common sense they’d fill the new Rx not the old. Forget common sense here. I experienced the staff as cold and unconcerned, unless it’s to tell you to check some box you don’t even understand. I added my one star review for this pharmacy to Yelp and Google. I want to return the old, wrong Rx, for a $35 refund. While I wait for Hell to freeze over, I’ll be using a different pharmacy. I’ve been considering picketing the store, with service dog in cart and vest (that would at least get the public’s attention if not the store), filing a small claims court suit (and subpoenaing the store manager, but might get me my refund and court costs), and complaining to corporate, my original plan. This is not right. Somebody needs to help these folks with an attitude adjustment, IMHO. In practical terms, they need to learn how to more effectively listen to customers’ complaints, demonstrate understanding, and work with the customer, instead of against them, to resolve complaints instead of telling the customer to get out of line because other customers were waiting. They never seemed too concerned when I was the one waiting. Just sayin’.

I had an awful experience with online ordering yesterday. Placed my order and paid extra for flash delivery. The computer picks what time flash delivery comes ,the customers do not...and also the computer adds the tip automatically unless you do otherwise. I tip in cash when the order comes most often . We live in Allyn and even though we are only 4/5 miles away it's tough at times to get delivery. We the customer do not know what entity is delivering the order be it Doordash or otherwise. We have no power over that. My order did not arrive as projected so I called the store and the online delivery dept. Spoke to a young man named Matt who was the rudest most impertinent employee I have ever dealt with in ALL my years! He chastised me on "low tip" and said "that's why no body wants to take the order" and "that those people take their time to do deliveries and make a living" and he spouted more Rude innuendos! He doesn't even understand Safeways own website and how it works and what the customer sees onscreen. Paying 2 dollars more for flash means DELIVERED quicker...not JUST picked. And he has no idea what happens on this end of an order as far as tipping! I asked for the manager who's name is Brian and the kid hung up on me. Eventually the order came and the young couple were tipped a 20dollar bill on a 70dollar order. My extra flash fee was taken off by Matt. I did speak with Brian and he was understanding. Doordash called the store on my behalf to take off the 4 dollar tip and was told no it couldn't be done...well....yes it can be and WAS by the corporate customer service agent. It is shameful that young men like Matt think they can speak to a customer the way he did. I was in customer service 30 plus years and would have fired an employee on the spot for such behavior. Safeway in Belfair needs to shape up. It's not the first episode of a rude employee. This was just the worst. I will never use that service again.
