    I had a very unpleasant experience at the Safeway store in Auburn, WA on January 1, 2026, around 8:25 PM. I was purchasing pads from an area where customers are required to pay immediately. While waiting in line, the cashier spoke to us in a rude and dismissive manner. She asked if we had alcohol; I said no, and she abruptly told us to go to self-checkout. As we walked away, she repeatedly said “go, go, feel free, feel free” in a way that felt disrespectful and unnecessary. I went back to calmly explain that her tone was unkind and that customers deserve to be spoken to respectfully. Only then did she apologize and mention a personal reason for her behavior. Regardless, customers have no way of knowing that, and it does not excuse being rude.

    Its alright though I wish they had better outside security i had a feeling the side of the building was a lil too out of the way with one door closed and of course we get the chargers cut for christmas

    Worst Safeway I’ve ever been to. I placed an online order at about 5:40 PM. I get a text exactly at 8 PM saying my order is ready. I literally live 2 minutes away from here. I get there just after 8 and the manager comes out with another employee saying that my order I can’t pick up my order because I wasn’t at the store before 8. She tells me I received an email saying that I was notified about the order. I never received anything from email to text. She caught a huge attitude after I asked if I can get my grocery’s. Very rude and unprofessional. Also just went inside to get a bottle of vodka. The cashier “Michael” ALWAYS asked if I’ve drank. Always stating no I haven’t then proceeds to ask “not even a drop?” Or “are you sure?” It’s harassment. It’s unprofessional. It’s ridiculous. I will never shop at this Safeway again. I’ve never written a review. Probably will never write another review. Just shows how much this bothers me. It takes so much to bother me and they managed to do it.

    I asked for another box so she gave me a bag that my sweet and sour spilled even more in. The customer gets what we give them here. I won't be back to the deli here.
