We stop in at Haggen Lake Tapps every work morning around 5:30 a.m., and that alone says a lot! The staff are cheerful, friendly, and full of genuine smiles long before sunrise. The cashiers always make us feel welcome and truly appreciated. The store is spotless—every aisle shines, shelves are full, and the produce looks straight out of a commercial. It feels bright, safe, and peaceful even in the early hours. And believe me, we’ve been in some sketchy corners of sketchy towns—this Haggen is a breath of fresh air! 🥪 Sandwiches: The roast beef and turkey sliders are perfectly balanced, never soggy, and the croissant sandwiches are buttery, flaky perfection. “Delicious” doesn’t cover it—they’re phenomenal. 🍩 Donuts & Kronuts: The donuts are a 15 / 10, and the kronut (half croissant, half donut) is a 20 / 10. Glazed or cinnamon-sugar, both melt in your mouth—messy but worth it! 😂 🚗 Worth Every Mile: We travel all over Puget Sound—Carnation, Duvall, Marysville, Auburn, Covington, Kingston, Bremerton, Poulsbo, Lacey, Olympia, Puyallup, Tacoma, Seattle—and this Haggen is still the highlight of the route. I’ve even been tempted to make the 64-mile drive from Shelton just for the sandwiches and kronuts. 💛

As Inlet Island was powerless and it often is 2 or 3 days or more with a storm this powerful. What a beautiful store! During the storm aftermath they had a lot of staff, shelves full and the deli was cooking. Looked like a lot of people had been there before me! There were scattered shoppers all over the store. Staff in various areas helping find products and a couple of cash registers open. Thank You! I was able to get 3 to 4 days of meals and some basics. We weren't out as long as usual, but what a stress relief!
