- JHJames HookerJan 6, 20262.0I love Chipotle. I've been eating at Chipotle restaurants for years. I was really excited when I heard Chipotle was coming to Anacortes! Unfortunately, this particular restaurant has stood out to me in that it is consistently filthy. Every time I walk in the place there's food scattered all over the prep areas in the kitchen and where they make the burritos bowls etc. Employees will just literally be standing around and there's a mess everywhere. At first I thought it was just me but when I had friends from out of town come in I took them there and they made a comment of how dirty the place was. I made an excuse like it must be right after their lunch. But it's not every time I go there it's the same.
- MDMark DDec 19, 20253.0Look, I am a huge fan of Chipotle and I actually own Chipotle stock; so, I eat there to also support my investment... HOWEVER... I have noticed at several restaurants now that there is a growing amount of slovenliness going on that is not being addressed quickly and orderly... For example, at the Anacortes WA Chipotle, I have noticed quite a bit of grunginess around the tray return area (food and trash on the floor and tray return area, tabletops clearly not cleaned and grungy, etc). I have noted this on several occasions now and, as an investor, I really do not like to see this. I have also witnessed this at several other Chipotle's in the Seattle area. You dont see this kind of slovenliness in top notch fast food places like McDonald's...the restaurants are usually spic n span and any slovenliness/grunginess is removed quickly (I am sure there are some severe outliers). If I were in corporate Chipotle, I would be making a company wide mandate to enforce more attention to keeping things clean and tidy promptly (by holding the Managers at each location responsible to delegate a small percentage of each worker's time dedicated to routine pickup/cleanup of the customer areas). A bad customer experience can change the success of a business quickly. I want Chipotle to be successful for decades to come... not just a few more years. 1/7/2026 add-on... Went in to enjoy a burrito and the restaurant is absolutely freezing 🥶 even with three layers and a hat on I was uncomfortable! I feel sorry for the employees. Uh oh looks like Chipotle management is starting to skimp on the heating bills!

Every single time the food has been excessively salty, to the point that it is nearly inedible and leaves an acidic feeling on my tongue. Never experienced this at any other Chipotle location - I’m not sure what is going on at this one. Hopefully someone there sees this and can correct the issue. I’m happy to remove this review if that happens.
