- BCBethany CramFeb 22, 20261.0I’m not normally one to do this as everyone lives differently but my other half and I went into shaws wanting to find something for dinner. As SOON as the door opened one of the associates smelt so bad of body odor that we both had to hold our breaths and speed walk past him. It took all of me not to throw up right then and there. As u work in customer service around people, personal hygiene isn’t hard to do but it is absolutely a must. I find it very gross that the workers hair is so greasy that it looks matted and it shines more than the floors. Never have I ever wanted to leave a store so quick but me so irritated so quickly with a worker. If you can’t keep up your hygiene then you shouldn’t work in the public. Makes me wonder why they hired him?

It was one of those spots where melting icicles had refrozen and became slush - with so many people coming in and out, it was especially risky. They were able to catch themself just in time and didn’t fall—but it was definitely a close call and could have been really bad. I went inside and let two employees near the door know what had happened. (One of them was named Riley - the other was the woman that normally works near the front) They were immediately concerned and didn’t hesitate to take action - rushing right out and putting down salt to make the area safer for everyone. I was really impressed by how quickly they responded and how much they genuinely cared about preventing someone from getting hurt. It was a great reminder that small, thoughtful actions can make a big difference. Great work!!
