  Just moved here never been to a Food Lion before and everytime now that I go there they never say hello or even talk very rude staff. Don't feel welcomed

  Extremely rude and hostile customer service worker (one lady only) at this particular location. I have shopped here before and never had an issue like I did today. A female worker there was literally spewing hate today all over the front of the store. She was asked a simple question about a coupon and why food lion there didn’t take it when another close Food Lion location did. She started out annoyed and condescending from the start like she had had a bad morning and was looking for somewhere to lay her wrath. Instead of acting with decency like a good employee of Food Lion would, she chose to act hate filled and condescending from the start. She called me a Liar basically because she said Dollar General Market didn’t sell groceries 🤯🤯 and then admitted well she didn’t know if they did or not as she’s never been there. Food Lion is supposed to be a reputable store with customer service workers who are there to help and not treat customers like garbage. The “customer service” worker treated me like I was garbage today all due to her lack of truly being able to explain a situation. Other customers that left after me were mortified and came to me outside to say how ugly and crazy the worker acted and I should report her like I said I would to her. (I told her before I left I would report her) Like she was full of something evil. I tried to explain to her that as a customer I am ALLOWED TO ASK QUESTIONS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND AND BE ABLE TO CONTINUE PURCHASING FROM FOOD LION BUT ALL SHE WANTED TO DO WAS POINT OUT SHE WAS THE “CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER” Like, what lady?? Are you really trying to brag about your position (that you are definitely NOT fulfilling the role of) all while showing complete and upmost malice attitude? What an awful and alarming experience and I pray Food Lion cares more about their customers and being good humans (workers)then this employee was showing today! This lady is the worst example of any kind of customer service or even a decent human, that I have ever dealt with!! There are human beings all over that are far more vulnerable and worse off then I could ever imagine and to think someone like this worker could possibly be “helping” them, is scary!!!!!! This lady wouldn’t do well working with ANYONE AT ANYTHING with the attitude she had today. After leaving the store and talking with others - I was informed food lion in the location that’s TAKES the coupons usually does so because there are NO OTHER local grocery stores. NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT WORKER RING SAID THERE. SHE STATED DOLLAR GENERAL DOESNT SELL GROCERIES IS WHY THIS LOCATION. DOESNT TAKE THEM. So NOT ONLY WAS SHE WAS WRONG AND UGLY IN HER DEMEANOR OF IT. The issue IS NOT THAT THIS LOCATION DOESNT TAKE THE COUPON. THE ISSUE IS THAT UPON BEING ASKED SO WE COULD UNDERSTAND WHY IT DOESNT, the WORKER WAS UNABLE TO AND INSTEAD OF BEING KIND AND SHOWING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, SHE DIDNT KNOW THE CORRECT ANSWER AND WAS DEFENSIVE AND UGLY FROM THE START. SHE WALKED OVER WITH ATTITUDE. FOOD LION HAS ALWAYS BEEN A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP AND NEVER HAVE I EVER SEEN OR AND EXPERIENCED SUCH LOW LEVEL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope the “customer service” worker for food lion has the exact “kindness” shown to her in all that she does so she can feel what she gives to others.
