  Zaffron has honestly become a must for me every time I’m in Virginia. I’m from New York, so I’m pretty used to having a ton of great food options, but this place genuinely stands out to the point where I look forward to it before I even get there. The first thing you notice when you walk in is how nice the place looks. It’s really clean, well put together, and just has a comfortable vibe. Nothing feels overdone, but it still feels speciallike somewhere you actually want to sit and enjoy your time instead of rushing out. The food is the real reason I keep coming back though. Everything I’ve tried has been so good, like consistently good, not just a one time thing. You can tell they care about what they’re putting out. The flavors are strong in the best way, everything tastes fresh, and nothing feels thrown together. It’s the kind of meal where you’re still thinking about it later. What also makes a big difference is the service. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming without being too much. They check in, make sure you’re good, and just make the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. Overall, Zaffron is just one of those places that gets everything right great food, great service, and a really nice, clean atmosphere. Coming from New York, it says a lot that this is a place I make sure to visit every single time I’m in Virginia. Definitely worth it.

  We had a very disappointing experience at Zafron Restaurant. From the start, the service was misleading and unprofessional. We were given incorrect information about timing and seating. When we arrived, the staff told us there wasn’t enough space, and instead of taking responsibility, they blamed our group—especially those with small children—for “taking up seats,” which felt very unfair and embarrassing. There were also serious issues with pricing. We were initially told one thing, but in the end, we were charged for 40 people in the began then 10 were not came even though our group only had 21 adults and small children under 5-4 years old. Ends up with 30.This felt extremely misleading and dishonest. On top of that, the behavior of the staff was unacceptable. We said in fasting we were wait for an hour to get food he said we can't ride the car for you take food quick, this is insane taking to customer like this tone. Mr. Atif was rude and made us feel uncomfortable, to saying if people not show up its not his fault we need to pay full even thought he is informed and the situation escalated further when Mr. Kashif made an inappropriate and threatening comment, saying the situation could turn into a fight if we didn’t pay and leave. That is completely unprofessional and unacceptable in any restaurant setting. Overall, this experience was stressful, disrespectful, and not worth the money. I would not recommend this place to families or large groups.

  Really disappointed with our experience. We made a reservation and even paid in advance, but when we arrived, we were told there was no seating available and that they would refund us. And if reservations are being taken for an event, tables should clearly be marked as reserved (as there was an event going on as well, and they didn’t manage that well either) There were also several other families there who were being told the same thing and getting refunded because there was no seating left. On top of that, the person at the front was extremely rude and not helpful at all. They definitely need better management and organization. Considering they have been in business for a while, I was expecting much better. It was especially disappointing since we came here to break our fast.

  Excellent experience eating here iftar buffet. On the menu were two different types of fruit salads, which they specialize in, Appetizer items like samosas and pakoras, Goat Paloa, Chicken stew, beef stew, chickpeas, tandoori chicken, seek kebab Malai boti, fried chicken, naan, two types of desserts and four different types of drinks available for self serve including mango lasi. The owner was extremely nice and hospitable. Five stars just for him!

  I had a great experience at Zaffron. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The kabobs and rice were especially delicious and well seasoned. The service was also excellent the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect during our visit. Specifically for Ramadan they have a lot of dishes I really like it .The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great Afghan and Pakistani food. I will be coming back again♥️
