  While the menu selection is limited the food available is OUTSTANDING. The country ham is very good and is true country ham (which is becoming rare in restaurants) and the pancakes are exceptional with crisp edges and fluffy centers. The service is prompt and friendly and the atmosphere is that of dining in an old country home perhaps the house of a southern grandmother or aunt. There is an expansive gift shop with a variety of different merchandise and you can buy some menu items in bulk if desired. I'd strongly encourage anybody thinking of going to one of the numerous "pancake houses" in the Williamsburg area to come here instead. You won't regret it.

  Ii hate to say it but a lot of the negative reviews are true. With that being said, I actually think the staff re genuine people who are just overwhelmed. There was 1 wait rest, 1 bus boy/runner, and 1 person helping with drinks, etc. For a busy Sunday this was not enough. The waitress couldn't take the time to be qith each customer be aue she was running all over. The menu doesn't have enough description for the tourism crowd, maybe because I didn't know the clu. Would have ham! The owner was very understanding and took it off our bill which was great customer service. Overall I think the food needs an overhual,, they should bring in a consultant...they way they prepare things isn't restaurant quality. And im writing this review as a plea to get help with the menu and recue this part of the community because maybe the regars who are 70+ are the only things keeping this resuartant afloat. I think williamsburg should be better represented..

  Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Absolutely wonderful staff from the moment they opened the doors. My husband and I were visiting Williamsburg for the weekend and were absolutely blown away with how quick, attentive and friendly the staff were. The Old Chickahominy breakfast is quite possibly one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had and the pancakes with blueberry compote were perfect. Not to mention there’s a great gift shop with very reasonably priced, gorgeous items. We’ll 100% be back next time!

  This was the 2nd time visiting. I was excited to bring family from out of town as our first visit was great. However, the chili was served cold, the biscuits were very dry, hard and flat. The server was quite slow considering we didn't come at a busy time. I do want to add that the host, tea server and busing service were great and very pleasant! Not sure I will come back.
