I could have read all of Moby Dick in the time between when I placed an order for a large black coffee and when they actually served it. The staff is moving more slowly than the DMV in Zootopia. I'm writing this whole thing while I wait. I'll hit post as soon as I get my coffee. How long could it take? Is this Kafka's Dunkin Donuts? Have I stepped through a wormhole into another dimension? Will I still recognize the outside world when I finally emerge? Will my wife and kids remember me? Maybe they will have held my funeral, like Tom Hanks and castaway., l Ah, finally, they are calling my number! I can't wait to take my coffee and go discover how the world has changed while I've been away.
